When I link a button/icon to "grades" and publish, will it only take students to their own grades when they click, and not the class grades that I see?

Hello @wrightsci ...

Yes...this is how Canvas works by design.  It would be a violation of FERPA if a student were able to see other student grades.  Even if you do not link a button/icon to the "Grades" page, if students click on the "Grades" course navigation button in their course, they can only see their own grades...not the grades of others.  See this short video tutorial: Grades (Students).
