Commons Access

Is there a way to remove access to Commons for TAs? I couldn't see anything in the permissions area. I have a student that was checking out the Commons and downloaded a lot of files to a course site. Fortunately, the TA role doesn't have permission to add assignments and quizzes to courses in our instance, so the files were the only thing that was downloaded. We would like to be able to prevent this in the future, if possible.

We are giving the Canvas Admins area a little bit of love (especially questions that are really, really old) and just want to check in with you.  This will also bring this question new attention.

 @Robbie_Grant ‌, thank you for asking. No, I didn't receive an answer to this. I do not see this in the permissions area either, but have heard rumors that permissions will be undergoing some changes soon.

stefaniesanders‌, this is what I was referring to, but there doesn't seem to be any mention of Commons that I can see. Does it fit in one of those areas that I can't see yet?

Our institution has been holding off enabling Commons for this reason. I hate to shake the dust off such an old thread, but I'm struggling to find any more documentation on TA permissions within Commons, does anyone know if this has been addressed?

We're looking into utilizing Canvas as an institutional academic repository and Commons would make life so much easier for me as the Admin and our team! However, we use the TA group fairly extensively as well and there is a lot of concern over TA permissions in Commons.
