Math Quill for Students

I just had a teacher ask this:

When students will be able to answer questions using fractions (using the Math Quill)?  I can create questions with fractions but kids cannot answer using fractions.

Suggestions?

I too can't understand why teachers can add questions using fractions but students can't answer in fractions too.  Having students converting their fraction answers to decimals before they have learnt it is very wrong!
