Scripts to Generate a Canvas Notification

I am looking for a way to use Canvas Notifications to notify users of password expiration in Windows AD. Currently, we use a Power Shell Script on our Server to query AD and send an email every day to notify students that their password will be expiring in x number of days. Has anyone successfully done this with Canvas?

Hi Jessica,

I haven't done this personally yet, but I believe you would need to use the conversation api's‌ to be able to do this via a script. (Conversations - Canvas LMS REST API Documentation )

I am also going to share this with the Canvas Developers‌ group to see if anyone has done this and can provide you some additional details on how they did it.
