Do you have have faculty that post a course announcement before the course is published, and then wonder why their students never received the message? Sure you have! Here's you chance to upvote this feature request:

I've got another one that I really think is more of a bug than a feature request and you (as an admin) might not even know about this since we have the functionality.

Message Icon in Profile​

There's a Message Icon on people's profiles, but only if you are an admin.  Why don't teachers and students (the people who actually need to communicate with each other on a regular basis) see it? Please consider voting for this and joining the discussion if you think it would be valuable for all to see the message icon.
