Unrecognized Browser in Page Views

What is "Unrecognized Browser" in Page Views for a user?  It used to mean that the user was using the mobile app, but that is no longer the case and "Canvas for iOS" displays when using the app.  I see it often and I can't pinpoint why 1 minute I see the browser and the next I see "Unrecognized Browser."

Also, is there a way I can download ALL Page Views without having to copy and paste from the table view?  When downloading the csv, you only get the most recent 300.

Hi  @baxl ‌!

Unfortunately I can't answer the first one about unknown, but I know the Support Team may be able to help narrow that down for you. You can contact them via the Help link (see the How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor? guide for more info on that)

I can answer your second question, here. The page view downloads will only go back as far as 1 year or 300 page views, whichever hits first. More info on that is in the guide. You can also ask support to look into a specific user's actions for you if you are the admin for the institution.

If you DID get an answer to this, can you post it? I don't believe this has been abswered. I'm having the same issue. I also find the investigating, as an admin, part quite clinky. It is not user friendly for those that have to look into attendance and investigate studnet accounts.

300 page views can be racked up really easily. I wish there was more functionality and an easier way to view the line items.
