What's happening with Beta Theme Editor?

Anyone experienced the Beta's new UI suddenly lost all styles? It looked like the browser couldn't render CSS files.

I was checking out the Theme Editor -- changing colors and add a logo image back and forth.

Now it's stuck in that state, so I see the same screen on different browsers.

It's not the first time this error happened, but I don't know how to revert back.

hlee2​, This happened to our institution and some others a couple of months ago and was a Canvas issue in beta.  I would file a support ticket with Canvas Support to see if it's an issue on their end first. If you're unfamiliar with filing a support ticket with Canvas, here's a helpful guide: How do I file a ticket with Canvas Support from the Community?  Or, alternatively, your institution may have it's own support system in place.

If it's not a Canvas issue, then perhaps there is an issue within your CSS file.

It happened to me shortly after we switched to the New UI.  I don't recall exactly what I did, but I think I managed to get back to the default without tech assistance.  Click on the Shield (Admin) button and see if you can get back to the Open Theme Editor section via the Accounts and then see if Edit --> Canvas Defaults will reset everything.

This happened to me this past Monday when I turned on the new UI for our institution.  It happened about 3-4 times in Safari as i was trying to get our branding set up in the theme editor.  I got frustrated and switched over to Firefox and did not encounter the issue after that.  Not sure what the issue is and I'm not saying it can't/won't happen in Firefox, but Safari is really not playing as nicely with Canvas as it formerly did, in my limited experience.
