Canvas Features by User Role (2021-09-29)
This document highlights features from the current Canvas web release for your user role. Any features that also affect other user roles may also be included, if applicable.
The date of this document indicates when the included features will be available in the production environment. Unless otherwise indicated, features are already available in the beta environment.

Account Settings
Microsoft Immersive Reader Feature Preview Adjustments
In Account Settings, Microsoft Immersive Reader no longer includes a Lock option. This feature can only be enabled for the entire account instead of at the subaccount level. By default, the feature preview is turned off.
In User Settings, Microsoft Immersive Reader is available for users to enable individually, regardless of the preference set at the account level. However, if the feature is on for the entire account, the account preference overrides the user preference, and the user setting has no effect.
