Greetings,
I have recently been attempting to set up Canvas Credentials and Badges to courses within our Canvas system. While I can do this successfully for one of my organisation's sub-accounts (Service Delivery), I am not able to do so for another (Foundations Care), and receive the error saying, "This account does not have admin access to connect to a Canvas Badges issuer in your deployment. Please verify another Badges account or contact your admin for access."
I am an admin within both Canvas and Credentials, and I can create Badges within another of our sub-accounts with no issues at all. I cannot find any settings to enable Badges for the Foundations Care sub-account, having looked throughout the Credentials page, although there is an issuer set up for this account.
Can anyone advise on how to resolve this issue, or if there is any additional information that would be useful in solving this issue? Thanks for the support.
Regards,
Tom
Hi Tom,
If these courses are in different sub-accounts, there is a chance that the sub-account installations of Credentials are utilizing different issuer locking. Issuer locking allows the LTI installer to permit specific Issuers to be used in specific locations within Canvas. Are you also the Canvas Admin/LTI Integration installer for your Canvas instance? I would recommend starting with that group to check if the installation has issuer locking enabled.
More information about issuer locking can be found on this community guide.
Hope that helps get you on the right path!
Josh
Thanks Josh. I managed to install another instance of Badgr (somehow), which has resulted in two concurrent Credentials tab. Fortunately, the new one works, and I have hidden the other from view. I'll take this as a win. Thanks!
