Canvas Credentials is currently moving towards the OpenBadge 3.0 standard - it is available in Beta environments for testing, but has not been rolled out to the Canvas Credentials production environments yet.
There has not yet been a timeline published for when OB3 will make it to production.
They just made the 3.0 option available at the beginning of this month... However, I've discovered problems with badge displays that have been converted from 2.0 to 3.0, and am still awaiting a solution from Canvas Credentials support.
