[Blueprint Courses] Compare associated courses to the Blueprint Course to identify revisions.

Problem statement:

We rely on Blueprint courses and the association and synchronization of course content and activities. Blueprint courses are developed by our IDs and meet our quality standards, including usability and accessibility. Instructors are encouraged to "tweak" or revise the course in the live version. At the end of the term, we'd like to compare the live version to the original Blueprint to identify revisions and operationalize Blueprint revisions and management as a part of continuous quality control.

Proposed solution:

Develop a compare and contrast tool that could compare the Blueprint Course with the associated courses and report specific changes or variances.

We need a tool to identify what revisions an instructor made themself, in the live version of an associated course.  The Blueprint Course is the gold standard for that course; however, instructors add or revise the course that they teach in (the associated course).  We need a tool to compare the two versions.  Blueprint of course xyz to the associated live version of course xyz.

Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. Canvas already has a handful of Blueprint history revision features that you can find here:

How do I view the blueprint sync information for a... - Instructure Community  

This will display the last sync, how many revisions were made, where they were made, etc. Is this what you are looking for or you are looking for a more specific report that can be generated to list out variations all teachers may have made in all courses for specific pages, assignments, etc?

We need a tool to identify what revisions an instructor made themself, in the live version of an associated course.  The Blueprint Course is the gold standard for that course; however, instructors add or revise the course that they teach in during the semester (the associated course).  We need a tool to compare the two versions to answer the question of what is different in the associated course.  This means that I need to quickly answer, "what did the instructor add or remove from the associated course while they were teaching from it?" for about 300 courses each semester.  Compare Blueprint of Course xyz1 to the associated live version of Course xyz1.
