[Global Navigation] Add more default global navigation items for all accounts, including free for teacher.

Problem statement:

Add more global navigation items for ease of access for all admins, teachers, and students.

Proposed solution:

For example, add a button for a shortcut that directs students to a menu that displays all of the discussions that they are currently participating in, or move the all grades button from the dashboard page to the global navigation bar. Several of my students don't know where to find things such as discussions in my course using the discussions button under the COURSE navigation, and they always tell me it would be easier for them if it was added to the blue sidebar which is the global navigation bar. Not only for discussions, but this would be great for grades, collaborations, etc. While I understand a few of these can be used for the course navigation, several of the students I know want it on the global navigation bar so they can easily access everything at once, instead of going into each of their courses finding what they need individually. Just like how the GROUPS button on the global navigation bar displays a menu with all the groups that the student is in, this would be great for collaborations and discussions as well as mentioned above. Hope this gets out there!

Given there are a wide variety of use cases, and that cluttering the Global Nav bar for all, when only some might care about those links, would it make more sense to have a "Pinned" global nav button, with some kind of slide-out tray with your personal pinned links?

I think that would be a fantastic idea, would that pinned button on the global navigation bar feature a menu (like courses and groups) that would display more quick access links?

Or maybe you can add a settings feature where students and teachers can enable or disable specific global navigation icons?

I like your idea, and I hope this can be implemented into free for teacher.
