[Grades] Display media comments and links to files in the pop-out comment tray in Student View
When students view their grades and click the View Feedback button, the pop-out tray does not display a media comment (video or audio) and does not display a link to a file. Use case: In SpeedGrader, an instructor records a video comment to a student. They also attach a file. When the student goes to Grades, clicks the View Feedback button, the pop-out tray only displays text comments. There is no indication that there is a media comment or a file from the instructor. The student can’t see the media comment or file from that view. The student is not able to add a comment to the instructor. If the student clicks on the feedback icon (blue square button with two chat bubbles), the student is taken to the assignment submission page. On the right, only the link for the file appears in the Comments section. The media comment doesn’t appear. The student must click on Submission Details. Then the right side shows the video comment and the link to the file. From Grades, if the student clicks on the assignment title (outside of the pop-out tray), the will be taken to the Submission Details screen (where they can see media comments and the link to the file).
On student’s Grades, on the pop-out tray, include media comments and links to files along with the text comments. Also, allow the student to be able to add a text comment, media comment, and file. This impacts the student role. Students will miss getting media and file comments from their instructor. They will just see the pop-out tray and only text. They won’t know there is a media comment or a file. Also, they won’t know how to get to the Submission Details page. If it’s not possible to add media comments and links to files from the pop-out tray, then add an icon and/or text there letting students know they have a media comment or a file and provide a link to get to the Submission Details screen.
