Students cannot access or view teacher marks and comments on Discussions when viewing the discussion from the Discussion view. They must go to Recent Feedback links or Marks to view feedback and add comments to their teacher. This is inconsistent with the Assignment view. Similar to how Assignment's work, it would help if students were to navigate to a discussion, if there was a button for them to "Add Comment" before replying to a discussion or a button for them to "View Feedback" to see their teacher's feedback without having to navigate away from the discussion thread.
Feature update request: Add an “Add Comment" button to the Discussion view for students before submitting, like it appears on the Assignment view. Add a “View Feedback” button to the Discussion view for students once marked, like it appears on the Assignment view. This would create greater consistency for students, so they have a similar experience when viewing both assignments and discussions.
