Can outcome achievement be based on average, not decaying average?

I have courses where we are using question banks, with each bank aligned to an outcome. Some outcomes actually have multiple banks, for example, one for multiple-choice questions and another for matching questions. If a quiz includes questions from both banks, they are treated as separate alignments for that outcome, rather than the entire quiz being treated as one alignment.

This causes the decaying average to be inaccurate, since only part of the quiz is considered the most recent alignment. I was hoping to solve this by using a flat average of alignments for the outcome, rather than decaying average. However, this doesn't appear to be that option. Does anyone out there have ideas for a workaround?
