How to erase part of text annotation for pdf?

I love being able to highlight text (in text formatting mode) in a pdf on Canvas Student for IOS. However, sometimes I accidentally highlight too much and want to get rid of part of the highlight. Is there any way to get rid of just part of a highlight instead of deleting the highlight and doing it again?

Hello @ColeStanford!

If you're using the Freeform Highlight tool, you can simply use the Eraser tool to remove excess highlights.

However, if you're using the Text Highlight tool, you have to undo your last action before highlighting text again.
