Canvas messaging

What we are finding is that if an observer wants to message a student, they have to:

• select the class
• delete the teachers from the message
• and change the subject of the message.

We were hoping for an easier way to contact a student if needed.

Hi @elainew ,

You shouldn't have to select a class and then delete the teachers from the message. You should be able to simply open the inbox, compose a new message and then in the search box just type the name of the student and they should appear in the options menu. Upon clicking on their name, they will be added to the message without any of the steps.
