Hiding grades on the Canvas App Dashboard?

A teacher was concerned that her students still had access to their grades on the Canvas Dashboard even though she hid the Grade navigation link.

Is anybody having problems where hiding the Grades navigation link does not prevent students from viewing grades on the Canvas app Dashboard page?

Sorry for the long delay on this, but yes, hiding the grades in the course navigation does not hide access to the grades through the dashboard on mobile. The best workaround for this is to mute all grades until the teacher is ready to share them with the their students. Muted grades will now show up in the mobile app either through the navigation or the dashboard.
