All my students keep getting De-activated

I took over a class midway through last semester from a departing teacher.  I have been working on getting the students back into a rhythm with assignments, but it is difficult as every few days all the students are marked as "Inactive" and I have to manually re-activate them in order for them to be able to view the class.  How do I address this?

You should submit a support ticket. It sounds like something is going on that shouldn't be. The students in our instance of Canvas are automatically deactivated when grades are posted, but this is something we specifically set up. So it may have something to do with the process that is used to enroll or unenroll students in your instance. Usually the support people at your school will monitor the tickets that go to Canvas Support. So that would probably be the fastest way to resolve the issue.
