Announcement notification

When I create Announcements in my specific student group, some of the students are notified through their email accounts and some are not.  Is there a way to setup the student accounts to recieve email notifications of new Announcements?

Welcome to the Canvas Community!!!

Notifications have to be set by the individual.  They cannot be set by an instructor in a course.  I would recommend having your students go to Account > Notifications and make sure the Announcement notification is set to right away.
