Automatic grading of assignments as a 100 if submitted?

Hi all,

A simple question. I have about 10 assignments where students submit files. I just want to grade them as a 100 if a file has been submitted. I don't want to check/view/grade them manually. 

Else, I just want to export a csv with 1 for a file submitted for a particular assignment and 0 for nothing submitted.

Something along the lines of https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Developers-Group/How-to-Count-Student-Discussion-Posts/ba-p/27346... but for assignments.

The only activity in Canvas that I know will automatically assign points is a Survey.  You'd have to create each assignment as a survey with a file upload type question.

I had to go deep into Canvas API and to write a whole bunch of code in R to process the gradebooks. You need good coding skills to have a reasonably mediocre Canvas workflow, without them it's a nightmare.
