No need to yell, I can hear you just fine.
Yes, this is possible if you Canvas Admin has enabled this function. Many schools do not, because it can make it harder to find courses on the Admin side. However, you can give your courses nicknames on the course cards on your dashboard.
These two guides describe how to do this, but essentially, you click the ellipses (three vertical dots) in the upper right corner of a course card.

Otherwise, you could ask your Canvas Admin to give that permission to faculty.
