Can a user change the language preference on Mobile Apps?

Hi,

Users can change their language preference for their account (https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10630-4212710343) on the web version.    But can students and parents, in particular, change the language preference on the Student and Parent apps?

If I'm on the web, I was able to change it in my settings to Spanish, and it made the change on my (Student) App.   But is there a way to do it from within the App?

If so, how?

If not -- is this something that is being planned for?

EDIT/Additional info:    Our middle school and elementary students use iPads only.    We have few parents currently with accounts (currently only for Piloting) -- those parents in the Pilot only have access via the Parent app.

The app language settings will update to reflect what user indicates in the web settings.

Hi Gunther,

Yes, that's exactly what I said on my post -- I know that is how it can be done.

But our parents only have access via the Parent app -- our web access is closed for parents.

So they cannot access the web to change the language.  And our younger students are limited to iPads (we have no way to know if they have a computer for web access at home).

Since it sounds like the feature I'm asking about does not yet exist, I've gone ahead and submitted it as an idea.
