Can we run a global chat room across courses?

We have recently run a customer advisory board and it was suggested we host a online forum. Before we investigate various other platforms, we wondered if Canvas can do this? We are aware of course chatrooms but wondered if there is a global one? If there is a solution that would be super.  Does anyone know?

There is not a global chat feature in Canvas, but why not invite the participants into one Canvas course? You can set the course for self-enroll, then send out the self-enroll link via email or something cool like that.
