Imported a course from Moodle. Basically there are a lot of files that I need to move to different modules. Is there a way to select multiple files for movement at once?

Hi! I'm glad the "bulk move" in Files was helpful. However, we cannot move multiple items from one Module to another. https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/13346-selecting-and-moving-multiple-items-in-modules would make this possible. Please vote and add a comment!

Hello @vpisula Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thanks for posting your question. If you are asking about files that live inside the "Files" area of your course, then the answer is: Absolutely! The easiest way to do this is to press CTRL on your keyboard and then click on each file that you want to move at once. You can then click again to move all of them to a different folder that you've created in your "Files" screen. Or, you can also use the SHIFT key on your keyboard if you have a bunch of files all in a row. SHIFT click on the first file, and then while SHIFT is still held down, click on the last file that you want to select, and all files between the first and the last will be selected. There are other ways to move files in your "Files" area of your course that are described in this Guide: How do I move and organize my files as an instructor?.
If you are trying to bulk move files that are listed in your "Modules" screen, I'm not aware of any way to do that, unfortunately.

Minor deet, on the mac it's the COMMAND key for multi-file (one at a time) select - perhaps that is the PC CTRL equivalent : )

A note here: To select multiple files while holding the Ctrl/Command key, don't click on the icon or hyperlinked file name. That would open a preview of the file. Hold the key & click on the date. Learn from my several minutes of frustration.

@MalaHosmane ...
I would encourage you to provide your feedback to the Feature Idea that @KristinL had linked to...
Selecting and Moving Multiple Items in Modules - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
You can give that Feature Idea a star rating as well as leave a comment why this would be helpful for you to have within Canvas.
Hope this helps!
