Canvas Recording and Share Screen

When using Big Blue Button and the recording feature, does Canvas record screen shares?  I used this tool and recorded my conference but students are saying the screen shares did not record.  Is there away to allow Canvas to record the screen shares as well?

Yes, you can use the desktop sharing to share a region of the first monitor while running BigBlueButton on a second monitor.

Does it not work if you use Big Blue Button and screen share on the same monitor?  Will it not record the screen sharing?
