Canvas and Kaltura Nav. icon

Are there any other Kaltura users who have noticed that when you choose My Media from the Navigator menu, that the "on-click" color doesn't change correctly, or in my case the background stays all white.

It used to work correctly, not sure when the change occurred.

Hi @ChristopherGTPE,

As far as I know, the My Media icon has always had issues.  I think you posted on the Kaltura listserv as well, and someone there pointed you over to a post I made in the past few months on how to replace the .png icon with an SVG path instead by using the Canvas API (that's how Instructure defines the icons for it's own LTIs like Commons.

Hi @chriscas,

Do you happen to have a link to that previous post about using an SVG instead of PNG for Kaltura My Media? I searched around the Canvas Community and Google, but am not confident I found the right post. I tested replacing the default white folder icon with the colorful Kaltura sunburst logo, which is a simple solution, but would like to try an SVG to keep the nav consistent.

Hi @kgrage,

That discussion was on the "Kaltura Owners Group" listserv (managed by Oregon State).  I was able to view the web version and find my post about the icon svg code.  Let me know if this helps out!
