Class Notebook Student Access Issue

Hi Everyone,
After doing some initial research on this I believe this is a Canvas question, but feel free to let me know if this is better suited for Microsoft.
We have the Class Notebook integration activated in our Canvas instance. For the majority of the time, this integration works well. One issue we have seen is where all students in the class (auto populated from the LMS) can view the class Notebook of every other student. Ideally this would be restricted to only their own Notebook.
From researching online, this setting does not seem to exist and I assume each are receiving teacher-type access? I also confirmed each student is listed as the "student" role in the course.
Has anyone seem this before? Is it possible to restrict the access of the students?
