Creating a course as an instructor

I am new to Canvas and have been unable to create a course as an instructor.  How do I do that?

 @sneely , greetings! If you are using Canvas through your school, you might not have this ability and might need to contact Canvas/Instructional support from your school to get your course created. If you do have this functionality, then on your Canvas dashboard you should have a "Start a New Course" button on the bottom right of your screen.
