Distance Education Policy Change

@canvas Admin's,

Can you help us with how you are measuring "active participation" in a course since July' 1st (2021) change from the Department of Education said we can no longer use the last log in date/time stamp to verify students are active in a course?

How are you verifying "last day of participation", or if a student is participating at all? What tool are you using. We need to change our Distance Ed policy and I'm at a loss for how to manually verify these students easily.

Any suggestions?

@heather_stockfo We are a partner of Canvas and our Dropout Detective solution produces a daily file listing the last date a student submitted a gradeable activity (worth points) in Canvas.  Many of our schools use this Latest Submission Date as the "Last Date of Attendance."  You can learn more about us at our Partner page:
