I have IXL assignments throughout my math class that require me to grade them. I would like for students to do them, but for me not to grade them. When I remove the grading, it removes the external link to IXL. Is there any way around this? So for instance I click on the box to display grade as not graded and the link goes away that would bring the student to the IXL platform.

Hi there @KatieNeedle ,
Thanks for asking on the Instructure Community!
Whenever you don't have an assignment as a graded assignment, then no submission type is available. If you don't want a grade to be displayed, I recommend adding those IXLs to the module as either an external URL, or to a page. However, there is no way around making a submission type available on a non-graded assignment.
I hope this helps!
Noah
Nevermind! I copied the incorrect IXL link. I needed to copy it from the "open in IXL" box. I think you helped me find a solution to not grading!!!

Thank you kindly for your response to my inquiry!
Hi Again Noah, so I added the IXL external link here instead... could this work to not have to grade it??? If so this would be brilliant! All I want students to do is go to the link for IXL practice and I don't want to grade it. When I click on the link, as if I were the student it says page not found.... is this because "the test student account" is not linked to clever yet?
I'm worried to add all these external links if they don't work.

Yay!! I'm so glad you got it figured out!
