External features for your Canvas page using "iframe"

Dear all,

Do you have any ideas using external features and embed them as iframe into your Canvas page to make your Canvas more exciting?

E.g:

  • Count down timer for assignment due:

289500_timer.gif

  • Poll

289501_poll.gif

Thanks,

Lam

Hi,  @lamdac_nguyen ‌, I've shared your question with the Instructional Designers‌ group to attract the attention of your fellow design aficionados. You won't need to join the group to see their replies as they appear here, but if you'd like to join the group to participate in discussions there, you can easily do so by clicking on the link to the group and selecting Join Group from the Actions dropdown you'll see at the upper right of the group home page. And, when you click on the group link, take a look at the resources people have shared for creating exciting and inviting course content.

Hi Stefanie, thank you so much for sharing this post.

iframes can be powerful, but they also can be the death of you. My advice is that test everything you want to do in the frame in multiple web browsers to make sure that the student is getting the same results.

Will do! Thank you for your advice John!
