Fix/improvement transparency - what things have been fixed and when?

New to these forums, was wondering if there's any transparency about fixes and updates in Canvas?

I've been using it at 2 different schools over the last 7 years, and it has stayed basically the same.

I'm not receiving any information that details updates or improvements, and that seems bizarre.

Personally, for it to grow and improve, I believe that more changes, made more swiftly, should be happening.

Specifically, I was wondering why after all this time, that the SpeedGrader only allows you to grade DOWN the list of students, instead of pivoting OVER to the next assignment. Backing up out of SG just to select a new assignment, then entering back into that SG for that next assignment is tedious, and something that is a reasonable request to streamline.

It's pointless for me to post a new 'Idea' about it because it already exists, in fact it was submitted back in 2015. The thread is 10 years old (!), but has no response from Canvas/Instructure, nor any visible improvement in all that time.

Again, bizarre.

Am I going about this the wrong way, or can someone help me understand why no fixes are happening and/or there's no responses about why a request can't be carried out?

Thanks!

Hello @bwithem23 -

Thanks for sharing this! If you haven’t already, you might want to bookmark Canvas Release Notes and our Product Roadmap for a clearer view of what’s recently been fixed, improved, or planned. Also, I'd like to mention that the Product Team is in the process of reimagining the roadmap, and the new format will spotlight opportunities for customers to contribute directly to their projects.
