Free-for-Teachers account support for LTI 1.3

Hi,

I'm new to Canvas instructor. I was trying to connect to an LTI 1.3 provider through the Free-for-Teachers account. I received the following:

Domain

https://xxxx.ABC.com

Redirect URLs

https://xxxxxs.ABC.com/lti/authenticate

Open Id Connect Login URL

https://xxxxxx.ABC.com/lti/connect/xxxxxxxxxx

Keyset URL

https://xxxxxxxxx.ABC.com/lti/xxxxxxxx

When I tried to add an LTI app, I couldn't find an app configuration type that matches what I received from the provider. Can anyone direct me to the correct spot or provide information about the free-for-teacher account support of LTI 1.3?

As far as I'm aware it's not possible to add a LTI 1.3 tool to the Free-For-Teachers provision from Instructure. You can only add LTI 1.1 tools.

LTI 1.3 tools need to be added by Instructure to the instance and only then they can be installed in a course.

I am a developer for a content provider and am working on upgrading our LTI v1p1 connections to LTI v1p3/Advantage. I have used a free for teacher account in the past to test my LTI v1p1 connectors. I find it odd that LTI v1p3/Advantage is not available to a free for teacher account. Is there some other type of account I should use? Perhaps a developer test account? I will need to warn my customers that they will not be able to use the LTI v1p3/Advantage version of the connector if they are using a free for teacher account.

You can install your own Canvas from https://github.com/instructure/canvas-lms . This is what I had to do for LTI 1.3 development.
