Generating new vocabulary

Is there a way to create specific vocabulary for language teaching and for students to be able to add, delete or amend words according to their own needs?

This is not currently possible in Canvas, but there is a feature request for this at  https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/15941-wiktionary-glossary
