Hi!

Yes!! This is possible with the Canvas Student app. Smiley Happy

How do I add annotations to a submission in the Student app on my iOS device?

It's so nice to encourage students to add annotations or marks on a pdf that is linked to an Assignment in Canvas without having to leave the app. This feature is available for iOS and Android devices but works best on tablets.

Hello there,  @wendi_martins ...

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking...can you please provide some additional details on what you are asking?  The part I'm not real clear about is "without being and external file or tool".

Also, not related to this question...  your profile name here in the Community is not your first/last name.  Rather, you are asking a question in your profile name.  You should fix this so that Community members know who you are.  This is also part of the "Be you" guidelines outlined in this document: What are the Canvas Community guidelines?.

Looking forward to hearing back from you soon, Wendi.  Take care...stay safe...be well.

We've taken the liberty of updating your display name on your behalf: "Wendi Martins" represents "Be you" rather more than "Can I have the students highlight part of text and have it submitted with the highlighted pieces. Martins..." Smiley Wink
