How can I view how many students are currently taking a quiz?

How can I view how many students are currently taking a quiz without going into each student's log individually? I have a final exam that is available for several days and want to see how many are mid-exam to decide when there is a lull, as I want to be available for any technical issues.

Have you tried looking at the Moderate this Quiz link?  This is where you can give students extra time and attempts, but it also shows you if anyone is currently in the process of taking it with how much time is left (if there is a time limit) or how long they have been working on it (if there is no time limit).
