How can we solve the timer issue "Nan minutes, Nan seconds" in quiz?

During the quiz, a student told me that the timer was not available. Instead, what was shown there was "Nan minutes, Nan seconds".

I'm not sure we'll be able to directly help you here in the forum, but we can try.

• Did you double check that the timer was set up correctly?
• Were other students able to take the quiz with a correct timer?

Thanks for the reply  Other students, except for her, were able to see the timer correctly. In another quiz, there was again few students whom in their timer shown NaN Minutes, Nan Seconds. Really dont know why, and how to solve it.

I logged in as a student to see if the timer was normal for me and it was.

 @ccreportoso , sorry the students are experiencing that.  The best thing they can do if this repeats itself is to use the help menu on the left of Canvas to "report a problem" when they see it. I think support may need to dig into this further as it occurs.

may I know if canvas did anything to address this issue? we are having same issue on one of our student. thanks

We are also experiencing this.  in addition, it seems to allow students to write over the time limit of the quiz, but looking into confirming that.  There is a possibility that is is related to the use of Chrome.

I would suggest they don't use Chrome and always ensure all student have submitted the exam if they are experiencing this issue.
