Is there any documentation on the conditions that trigger Canvas notifications? A few times now it has come up for us that we needed to know what activities on the designer/instructor end of things will trigger a notification for students. For example, right now I want to make a number of component updates to a course at the same time and I don't want to bombard the students with a bunch of email notifications, particularly since I don't want them to respond to them. So far I haven't been able to find any information on this. One possibility I considered was that publication status could impact notifications by changing the participation status, but I haven't seen this anywhere.
