How do I invite another teacher to share my course?

Hi Penny,

The answer depends a little bit on how your Admins have set permissions. Try the steps below:

• In your course click on the People tab
• Click the + People button
• Enter the email address of the other instructor, set the Role to Teacher and click Next
• If an account exists for the other person it will confirm they exist.  Click the last button to add them to the course.

The teacher role is not an option when I try to add a teacher through People.

Contact your institution regarding the access and roles that they have set up.

My community college district no longer allows instructors to add anyone, including colleagues, to their Canvas courses in any role. Their main concern is access to protected student information.
