How do I know if a module is tied to the Commons or not?

I have a few questions around using the Commons in courses from an administrative perspective.

1. How can I tell if an object or module in a course was imported from the Commons?

2. Is there a way to see from the Commons area what courses a Commons object has been deployed to?

We are looking to manage our Master Courses with some Commons content but don't know if the instructor manually put the content in the course or if it was imported from the Commons. Beyond going to the Import Course Content area of a course and seeing if something was imported from the Commons is there any identifier on the object or perhaps a report that can be run?

Having access to object identifiers (if they exist) would also be helpful to determine when a Module is going to overwrite when importing, if that is, in fact, what determines overwriting. Canvas Commons Module Overwrite

 @degroot ,

Were you able to find an answer to your question? I am going to go ahead and mark this question as answered because there hasn't been any more activity in a while so I assume that you have the information that you need. If you still have a question about this or if you have information that you would like to share with the community, by all means, please do come back and leave a comment.  Also, if this question has been answered by one of the previous replies, please feel free to mark that answer as correct.

Hey Robbie,

To my knowledge there is no way to tell. Hopefully in the future they add an icon to content notifying the instructor/admin that the content has been imported from the Commons. That would really be an idea as opposed to a question so yes we can leave this as answered.
