How do I link a video from youtube into a module?

How do I link a video from youtube into a module? I tried following directions online--no luck...

I guess it depends on how or where within the module you want to add the video.

 @jwulferdingen50  , we've embedded YouTube videos into our Courses.  It was in a page, but we've not had any problems.  I was also able to remove the accelerometer on the video so, technically, the student had to watch the entire video!

Hi Julie,

Related to adding an external url as a module item, I noticed that when you use the YouTube short url to add a YouTube video to the Modules list, the video is not displayed. The short url can be copied via the Share button under the Youtube video. You can still click on the title to access it, but it's is not obvious. See screen shot:

However, if you use the browser url for the YouTube video, the video displays in the module list. Just something to be aware of.
