Hi @aterhune2017 - I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this! Just to clarify the issue, is this 'automatic log-out' happening from the Canvas by Instructure app or the mobile web? If it's the Canvas by Instructure app, make sure that your iOS and the app is up to date. If that still doesn't fix it, try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. Sometimes that's just enough to reset things.

I might be on the wrong path, but at UCF I might be getting the same behavior. After I download the Canvas app and enable notifications, I have no issues getting these notifications 24/7 (as long as I don't manually log out), but when I tap on a notification I am taken to the login screen. Is this your issue?
The issue at UCF, and possibly your school (FAU) is not the app, but how your school handles the length of each session. At UCF I am logged out of Canvas after approx. 30 minutes (This time isn't officially posted for security reasons). After I'm logged out, I will continue to receive notifications, but can't open them directly into the app with me logged in. Like me, If this is the case for you, then there isn't much you can do. I wanted to circle back to this and see how things are going. Both @klundstrum and @rseilham gave you some information - did either one of these things help? I have a similar problem where Canvas randomly logs me out of a session. I am using the free version as I am from a small school, (60-80 pupils) so for my Maths subjects I add assignments and when I attempt to mark them, randomly Canvas will close and I have lost all my marking and need to start again. Is there anyway around this?
Hi @Bullett20 - Canvas Teacher should work beautifully for FFT and full-paid instances of Canvas. Double-check you're running the most recent version of the app. Next, uninstall and reinstall the app. That often helps!
