How to add a csv of comments to gradebook?

I have downloaded the gradebook for a class. I have added comments for each assignment on the csv like so:

HW1, HW1 comment

10, Q1: Good job; Q2: Good job;

How can I upload this csv so that all the comments are sent to the students?

The CSV import option for the grade book does not include a column for "comments".  I don't think it's possible to do what you're asking.

Is there a way to import comments that doesn't require manually going through every student in the gradebook and adding a comment to their grade?
