I am conducting my lectures through zoom, and have it set to record all meetings. The recordings are all saved and posted on canvas right away so that students can see them automatically. Is there a way to make the recordings private, so that only I can see them unless I decide otherwise?

Hello there, @shravas ...
Assuming that your school has the new Zoom Pro LTI app integrated with your school's Canvas environment, there is an option that your school's local Canvas administrator or your school's Online Learning/eLearning department can configure within the overall Zoom account. It is a toggle switch that applies to all courses in your Zoom/Canvas integration. In a nutshell, it either allow recordings to be displayed as soon as possible (after the meeting/recording has been completed), or it gives you the option to review the recordings privately and then make the decision whether or not you want to make them available to students in your course. I tried looking at my own Zoom account "Settings" page to see if I could set any preferences based on what you've asked, but I did not find anything related.
I hope this helps. Please let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks!

Hello @Chris_Hofer
Do you know specifically which setting this is? Is it a setting within Zoom or Canvas? I manage the Zoom account for Gordon College but do not see a setting in the Zoom website that allows a delayed release of Cloud recordings.
Thanks!
Joey

Hey there, @joey_taraborrel ...
Yup...here is what you need to do:
- Navigate to: https://marketplace.zoom.us/apps/f8JUB3eeQv2lXsjKq5B2FA You can also search Google for "Zoom LTI Pro", and it should be the first link in the first search result.
- Sign in with your admin Zoom account.
- Once signed in, click on the "Manage" tab. You should see your subscriptions and configuration.
- Click on the "Configure" button next to "Configuration".
- Click on the "Edit" button next to your LTI Key and Owner.
- On the next screen, you'll see two tabs: "LTI Credentials" and "3rd Party Credentials". Stay on the "LTI Credentials" tab, and scroll down to the setting for "Recordings To Students". There should be two options under it: "All" or "Published". You can hover your mouse over the question mark icons by these words to see what those options mean. We have ours set to "All". If you set it to "Published", then I believe instructors would then have the option to "publish" or choose which recordings they want to make available and which they do not.
Hope this helps!!!
