In quizzes on canvas, does anyone know how to write an answer in superscript for a squared answer, it will not work for me?

I need to use superscript in an answer to a maths question but it will not let me

Hi  @diane_quinn   So you have used the button for superscript (see  What is the Rich Content Editor? and Canvas Release: New Rich Content Editor (2020-01-18) or How do I use the Rich Content Editor in New Quizzes?) and it isn't working?  What do you notice when you try and have you attempted with a separate web browser such as Chrome and Firefox? Also, are you currently using new quizzes or classic quizzes?
