Incorrect quiz statistics for quizzes set to keep the average score of all attempts

Hello,
I have created a quiz that allows for up to two attempts, with the kept score set as the average of all attempts. However, when I am viewing the quiz statistics, the quiz average appears to be 100%, even though I know that is not the case. I believe it is showing the statistics for the highest or latest attempt. This does not help me at all, as I wish to see how the students are performing overall.
Indeed, this Canvas guide says that quiz stats will only display the "kept score for the student (highest score or latest score)", but does not mention what happens if your kept score is set as "average".
It is very inconvenient to calculate the average score myself from the student analysis report. Please let me know if there is a way to see this information more readily. If not, I would really appreciate it if the devs could implement this.
