Instructor Editing New Quizzes Not Working Switched it to Assignments! Oh My No...

We noticed today that the Quizzes function changed in our Canvas course. Faculty can no longer see the Build button and edit their quizzes before student use. The only way we could find this feature was to Publish the Quiz. Go to the Home Page and go to Student View and find the Quiz, then once the Quiz was there we could click out of Student View and it would appear. 

I tested it in my test course and I could edit my sample test - but still way too many hoops to get to my test!  

The instructor I was working with couldn't get it to edit. She said this... Ok, it is a glitch in the system. I went to the browser bar and backspaced to the last backslash, and it will let me edit now. 

That is still not very convenient though.

Can we go back to the feature where we get the build button as Instructors so we can edit things? This is way too confusing otherwise and not efficient. 

We noticed it went to Assignment - External Tool and I cannot unclick that External Tool. Quizzes should not revert to the Assignment feature.

All quizzes are assignments, and New Quizzes specifically are also an external tool, so the image that you shared is normal.

I see exactly that (with my University URL instead), and still I have a "Build" button on the bottom left of the page (below and to the right of where your screenshot ends).

Is it happening to every faculty? Could it be a new script an admin added that is hiding the button by mistake?

I just went into a random course that was associated with a previous semester that never ran.

I created a new quiz and below are two screenshots showing my experiencing (1) naming the new quiz and seeing a "Build" button in the lower-right corner and (2) after clicking on the "Button" button, I am able to start to build the quiz.

@Gabriel33 is also correct to say that all quizzes that are created as a "New Quiz" are technically an assignment that is an external tool.

From what I can tell, everything is the same as it has been and nothing has changed.

For whatever reason it was this way and then switched back the faculty member said. It was about a 4-8 hour period where it was this way before going back to normal.
