Integration of TII with Discussions

Hello Instructure Team, 

 I am a faculty program director for the BS and MS nursing programs at Excelsior University. We have been engaging in discussion with our counterparts in the associates degree nursing program regarding the need for integration with Turnitin in discussion posts. I have read the blog comments on this topic but could not find anything on whether this feature will be offered. We use Canvas for all of our courses and currently use TII integration with our assignments and it works well. It also serves as a deterrent for plagiarism. 

Could you advise on the status of this question as I see it has been asked a number of times since 2016.

Hi @NANCYBELLUCCI1 ...

The person I always refer to is @dhulsey because he has a lot of experience using Turnitin.  He's also written a pretty detailed blog called Canvas and Turnitin - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com) where he has some information on how you can check discussion postings for plagiarism.  I'm not sure what plans Turnitin may have for discussion posts in the future, however.

Enable Turnitin for Discussion Posts is a long-running conversation that I think you'd like to follow. This is a thread that looks at adding Turnitin to Discussions. It's an Idea Conversation (request), so you'll automatically get updates about it if you comment or rate (star) the idea.
