Keyboard command for moving out of google LTI element

Is there a command that will enable keyboard users to shift focus out of an embedded google LTI element? For example, an embedded editable doc or spreadsheet. Once keyboard focus is within the embed, the tab key is limited to elements within the embed, so there doesn't seem to be a way to get back out to the canvas UI using the tab key.

Google does have a way to move focus out of the editing area, ctl-alt-shift-m; this moves focus to the top of the embed, then users -could- backwards tab to canvas, but still would be unable to forward tab to elements past the embed.
